Short presentation
Colette Merklen Dutournier was born in France, near Paris in 1947. She studied in Colleges and Universities to be pharmaceutical chimist and in the same time studied Piano, Harmony, Composition at the Paris Conservatoire. She learned with Robert Dussaut, Composer, Pierre Duvauchelle, Conductor of Paris Chamber Orchestra, the great Pianist Paul Badura Skoda.
In 1987, she founded a School of Music.
In 1997 Colette Merklen-Dutournier created the Transclassic Music, a polyphony between the Occidental Classical Music and the Oriental, Asiatic, traditional Music, preserving the authenticity of each Culture.
In may 2010, Concert at the theresiarum in Vienna: In 1746 Maria Theresa of Austria transformed her father's favorite palace into an imperial academy for the young elite. This concert was organised with the help of Austrian Foreign Secretary and was subsidized by SPEDIDAM. During this concert, GAN Lin, Tenor and WANG Yang, Soprano, sing Chinese traditional music to compositions of Colette MERKLEN-DUTOURNIER, still preserving the authenticity of each culture.
In december 2017, she transformed her own piano with quarters of tune to compose a New Music
